In short, 3 XLR lines, a DI, a power point and a boom stand. 1) Vocal: One xlr line, a boom
stand and a power point. I have my own
dynamic mic and go through an Akai
Headrush loop recorder, for which I have all the leads, adaptors
and stuff. Definitely no bass rolloff (I want those subs), but you
could
lose a little 150hz.
2) Guitar: DI. It's a nylon with a bright pickup, so maybe dull it down a little (around 2.5K). 3) Mbira (thumb piano): One xlr (canon) line for a dynamic mic I have attached to it. It also needs a big dip around 2.5K. And it has a fairly high output, so beware of feedback when your bringing it up!. and 4) Stomp box: One xlr (canon) line for a dynamic mic I have attached to it. It's actually a CD wallet stuffed with bubble wrap... mids out, subs up... doof! Due to feedback possbilities when I'm doing many layers, I have my foldback at a minimum (which I'm sure is only good news to you). If you're short of lines, I could combine the mbira and guitar line and if only 2 lines, I could lose the stomp (but that would be sad). Thanks, thine a warbling, Mal |
