Larry
Larry
Have you heard about Larry?
He's been feeling low
But you'd never know
He won't let it show
Oh
He's known as such a cheery chap
He's fallen in the trap
Of putting on a happy face
When that's just not the case
Oh Larry
It's OK to feel down
Even the jolliest clown in town
At times wears a frown
The weight of the world is not yours alone to carry... Larry.

This songs is written for those whole care enough about the people around
them to put on a happy face, but forget to take it off when they need to.
The phrase "Happy as Larry" has been said to be about a Sydney boxer of the
late 1800s called Larry Foley, a perpetually cheery chap, even when beaten
to a pulp in the ring. We'll never know how happy he really was, I guess.
