Who is Mal Webb? He's a vocal adventurer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Melbourne, Australia. He performs solo and with several bands and gives workshops on being a band with your face (Bandmouth). Outrageously eclectic. Nefariously varied. It's as grittily human as it is other worldly, as clever as it is stupid, as playful as it is ponderous.
"You're a freak" said Ani DiFranco of Mal (really!)
"An enormously accomplished singer... from jazz to African yodelling" - John Shand, Sydney Morning Herald.
"I didn't know beatboxing could be so musical" - Mark Holden
"He's like Bobby McFerrin, Aphex Twin and Cole Porter playing scrabble" - B.Freely

News: I'm in Europe (England, Germany, Denmark and Switzerland, to be precise) doing gigs solo and with Totally Gourdgeous. My new CD, "Dodgy" is done! Order it now (go to CDs). It's available on credit card through Folktrax, in shops through MGM distribution and on Mal Webb. I've got a few clips up on YouTube.com: Click here for me performing at Woodford 05/06, me playing with Ross Wilson, a little animated film clip for Waterbear and me with a camera going up my nose: If you've never seen a larynx before, and if you're not too squeamish, check it out! Check out blogs and songs on my MySpace (click here). I've got a few new songs you might like to peruse: Dodgy, Whinge, URFES and Sound of Love. And here're some links to pages you may looking for: Bandmouth Workshop notes (including mouthdrum sentences), Ti Tree school CD, Music Outback , Mbira (Zimbabwean thumb piano), Slide Trumpet, Headrush pedal (my loop recorder) and Waterbears
